In 1964, the Canadian auteur filmmaker Guy Maddin found a crumpled up story outside of his elementary school. He has kept it with him his entire life, never knowing who the author was. The story tells the tale of a cruel father, a Canadian folk hero and a duck. The film is a special feature on the Criterion Collection disc of My Winnipeg.
