In this mind-expanding interview with Peter Stampfel, freak folk legend and founder of the band Holy Modal Rounders, we get a behind-the-scenes look at the early days of the birth of psychedelic folk.

Kalakala created this film in collaboration with Greg Vandy, KEXP DJ and host of The Roadhouse, and founder of the music site, American Standard Time.

What began as a side-interest in animating the lives of folk musicians eventually grew into Kalakala’s award-winning Drawn & Recorded series.
